Jayd Banuelos was born and raised in Southern California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Concordia University Irvine. She also completed a portion of her studies at Concordia College Bronxville in New York.

Upon graduation, Jayd attended Whittier Law School in Orange County. In addition to her studies, she sat on the board of the National Latino Law Student Association as the Pacific Regional Director, helping host the association's annual conference at Boston College of Law and Harvard Law School, and held multiple leadership positions on the boards for the Hispanic American Law Student Association and the Student Bar Association. Jayd received her Juris Doctor, along with a certification in Trial and Appellate Advocacy upon graduation.

In her spare time, Jayd can be found at the beach, and spending time with her family, or at networking events hosted by one of the various associations she is a member of.
